The Esurance Tennis Classic (formerly The Comcast Women's Tennis Classic) is a high profile tennis exhibition hosted by the Harbor Point Charitable Foundation. The goal of the exhibition is to create an environment encouraging sponsors and spectators to join together with tennis professionals and collegiate tennis leaders for a weekend of thrilling tennis to benefit Bay Area charities.

The original Women's Tennis Classics concept was organized in 1983 by Billie Jean King and Rosie Casals with the help of many celebrated athletes. More than 20 years later, the success of this remarkable event has increased exponentially. Many of the world's best female tennis players have helped to raise millions of dollars for deserving charities across the nation.

The inaugural 2005 event at Harbor Point Tennis Club raised more than $60,000 for local charities. In 2006, proceeds nearly doubled with the Comcast Women's Tennis Classic. This year the Esurance Tennis Classic will be looking to raise a record amount of money for To Celebrate Life Breast Cancer Foundation, Us Too Prostate Cancer Education & Support Network and Youth Tennis Advantage.

Headlining the 2007 Esurance Tennis Classic will be tennis great Lindsay Davenport. High level sponsors will enjoy the exclusive opportunity to play tennis with Lindsay and compete in matches against other generous sponsors who are partnered with tennis professionals and classics such as Mary Joe Fernandez, Todd Martin, Conchita Martinez, Jana Novotna and the Jensen Brothers. Additionally, the University of California Berkley and Stanford University women's tennis teams will compete in high energy exhibition matches.

The schedule of play includes doubles matches between top tennis professionals, collegiate competition, celebrity/pro exhibitions and pro/am doubles matches with professionals and tournament sponsors.

An gala dinner and auction honoring sponsors, players, celebrities, and the benefiting charities takes place on the Saturday night of the event.
